TRAINING

As a Local 78 Member in good standing you are entitled to Free training, including all the classes you need to maintain your licenses and learn new skills to expand the kinds of work you may perform- such as lead abatement, scaffold work, etc, and also learn English and prepare for a GED (High School Equivalency Diploma), computer classes and Defensive Driving Course (required for NYS Driver's License.)

NOTE: Members wishing to attend an Asbestos Handler or Supervisor Refresher course must bring their Asbestos licenses and union book. Training certificates (NYS DOH 2832 NJ DOH ASB 24) must be presented for the initial refresher course and all other refresher courses taken at other schools. In the case of a change in name or social security number proper documentation must be presented the day of the course.
